Somatic Experiencing (SE), a worldwide leader in trauma resolution therapy, has announced training classes in the Santa Fe area. SE was developed by Dr. Peter Levine, physiologist, psychotherapist, and author of 22 books on trauma. SE is a body centered approach to therapy that helps clients heal from trauma, including relational and attachment trauma. SE helps to alleviate anxiety, depression, and underlying causes of most diagnoses. SE offers a framework to assess where your clients are “stuck” in fight, flight, or freeze responses and provides clinical tools to resolve these fixated physiological states that underlie so many trauma symptoms. Our educational model is both theoretical and highly experiential, offering you effective skills for restoring nervous system regulation and resolving trauma that can be immediately integrated into your professional practice.
The SE community consists of over 12,000 practitioners worldwide. Disciplines represented include psychologists, counselors, social workers, movement therapists, massage therapists, chiropractors, doctors, nurses, physical therapists, and many other professionals.
