Dr. Rochelle Calvert teaches mediation practices to awaken and heal in life. She offers community-based and individualized support for learning a variety of mindfulness meditations, nature/eco-based mindfulness, and somatic practices through classes, events and therapy. Her mission is to promote the cultivation of health and well-being with the support of our natural world and in turn that we find our way of reciprocity to help heal the Earth.

Rochelle Calvert has a devoted love to share the power and healing potential of mindfulness, somatic awareness and nature. She has studied and taught mindfulness for the past 20 years and knows personally the transformational potential. Rochelle currently leads courses and retreats in mindfulness, somatic experiencing and Awake in the Wild- nature-based mindfulness. She also facilitates professional trainings in mindfulness for clinicians and travels the country teaching seminars.
She is a certified mindfulness teacher with the Mindfulness Teaching Institute and the International Mindfulness Teachers Association. She has also trained and assisted with Mark Coleman and as an Awake in the Wild meditation teacher. She practices mindfulness-based meditation rooted in the Buddhist Theravada Tradition and practices meditation outside in nature daily.
Rochelle offers mindfulness, nature-based therapy and somatic experiencing as a psychologist with New Mindful Life. Her therapeutic approach includes teaching people individual mindfulness meditations- both indoors and outdoors- specific to their unique concerns to support healing. She also integrates somatic experiencing healing (body-based healing through nervous system reorganization) with the mindfulness and nature-based meditation practices. Rochelle has therapeutic specialty areas of training to support the integration of these services to individuals struggling with life transitions, depression, anxiety, PTSD, pain conditions, eating disorders, as well as families of developmentally delayed children/adults.
Her mindfulness, nature, somatic therapy is offered to support individuals in learning to heal their own suffering. The use of the support from local nature locations, the sprinter therapy van, as well as an office room space, provides options for healing settings that can be tailored for the unique needs of her clients. She teaches with warmth, compassion, kindness, and openness to encourage others to explore the teachings of mindfulness to cultivate a more easeful way of living.
