Sacred Connection: Exploring our Interconnectedness with the Earth

This weekend intensive will explore human consciousness in direct relationship with the consciousness of animals, plants, landforms, weather systems, ancestors, and other guiding, helping and/or guardian spirits, supporting to awaken to our sacred connections. Though we are linked with these other-than-human-beings, modernity denies the reality of our interwoven and interdependent human existence. Our awareness of our interrelationship with nature may arise through ceremony, meditation, art, or dreams/visions that transmit the knowledge that everything is alive. The existence of the sacred is persistent and woven in all life. This weekend will engage participants through a variety of activities including dream-sharing, art-making, stories, and ceremony for the purpose of reconnecting to nature and spirit as conscious partners with animals, plants, earth, sky, and spirit. Certain plant medicines and practices that enhance dreaming will be shared
COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES (CLOs): The student will:
1. Learn how to access awareness of the sacred through practices of inter-being, inter-relationship with other-than-human beings.
2. Demonstrate ability to enter into conscious relationships with other-than-human beings.
3. Gain understanding of sacred practices that invite a deeper understanding of aliveness and interconnection with the Earth
4. Discover ways to integrate practices of sacred interconnection with nature to support healing within the therapeutic process
