Healing with Nature: Mindfulness and Somatic Practices to Heal from Trauma
March 21 @ 4:00 pm - March 24 @ 12:00 pm
LOCATION: River Ridge Retreat Center with Off-Grid Retreats
START: Thursday, March 21: 4pm
END: Sunday, March 24: 12pm
This nature-centered mindfulness meditation retreat is an opportunity to heal, re-connect and re-emerge into a greater sense of wholeness. Through this retreat we will explore how nature-based practices, our relational connection to the natural world, and somatic experiencing can support healing and transformation of challenging or traumatic experiences. We will deepen our sense of embodied interconnectedness and relational attunement to support us feeling alive, participating fully with all life and opening to support participating with the healing of the Earth.
We will practice and connect in the beautiful landscape of the southern Sierra Nevada Mountains, amidst the Tule river and a vital ecosystem of a 722 acre nature preserve of oak woodlands. We will have an opportunity to study, practice, and integrate the wisdom of these teachings in the community. There will be time to relax and reflect, be led on nature meditations, reflective journaling exercises and beautiful hikes, all while strengthening your skills to heal, transform trauma and live more fully into life.
